On Saturday 12th December, at the Anatolia Cultural & Dialogue Centre, Ben Freeman gave a lecture on the history of the Holocaust as well as the importance of learning the lessons of history.
After Ben’s lecture there was a screening of the documentary, ‘Turkish Passport’. This film tells the story of Turkish Diplomats in Paris saving the lives of Turkish Jews in France. They successfully stopped the Nazis deporting them to Auschwitz and eventually, in 1944, many Jews escaped from France to Turkey – crossing wartorn Europe in a train.
We were proud to work with the Anatolia Cultural & Dialogue Centre & tell the story of brave Muslims who helped save the lives of Jewish people during the Holocaust.
